How do I Charge a Classic iPod Without Losing Information?

By default, iTunes is set to immediately sync any ipod, iPhone or iPad you connect to the laptop or computer. This can result in troubles when you connect your Classic ipod to a foreign pc. If you attach your ipod to a friend's pc to cost, the iTunes plan put in on your friend's Computer will instantly sync to your gadget and erase your ipod's info. Disable iTunes automated sync on the Computer you want to connect your Classic ipod to. This will permit your system to cost with out dropping details.

Open iTunes.

Click on "File" at the top of the system window.

Choose "Preferences" from the "File" drop-down checklist.

Pick the "Gadgets" tab from the top of the window that opens.

Click on the check box subsequent to "Stop iPods, iPhones, and iPads From Syncing Instantly."

Click on the "Okay" button to maintain the modifications. You will exit the window.

Insert the USB end of the ipod connector cable into a USB slot on the Computer. Plug the other end into your ipod. The ipod's battery cost progress indicator will seem on the gadget's display.

Disconnect the ipod when the battery cost icon indicator is complete.
